Where we do dye fabric, we use plant-based dyes — madder root, indigo, turmeric — sourced from the same region as our fiber. Many pieces we leave undyed entirely, letting the natural color of hemp or cotton speak for itself. Both choices avoid the wastewater problems that come with synthetic textile dyeing.
